Event Description:
Growing Hops Hopyards of Kent offers the following courses for hobbyists to commercial farmers who want to understand more about growing hops. The courses are designed for those who want to start a hop farm and those who are in different degrees of knowledge and experience. The courses offer an up-to-date education in growing and maintaining a hop farm. COURSE II The cost is $275. This course is a continuation of the material taught in Course I, and completion of Course I is required. It covers topics related to plant growth such as nutrition and water, integrated pest management and diseases, spray regiments and weed control. The course will include some farm site education with travel required to the Hopyards of Kent Farm located at 11908 Elkins St., Greenville.
